With a focus on leading the team whilst treating the major trauma patient, patient safety systems and human factors play a major role in the learning.
This course has been designed to provide an alternate route to meet the trauma learning needs of the advanced provider in the South African and African context.

I would like to acknowledge the AIEM team that came to Mediclinic Highveld on July 20 and 21 to teach EMATT. After the course, the instructors went far beyond the call of duty to assist us in the EC when we learned that two P1 polytrauma patients were expected in the EC. The instructors' presence and guidance on an actual case helped us reinforce all the knowledge we had just gained at the training center. The instructors truly have a passion for Emergency Medicine. Their calm demeanour and communication during a real crisis helped team members follow the EMATT approach and ultimately provide the best possible care for this real trauma victim.
I highly recommend the AIEM team.

I enjoyed the course and how it was set out, having multiple simulations allows for one to familiarize themselves with different scenarios.
